Living Water Baptist Church (LWBC) of High Point, North Carolina is prayerfully seeking one who is called by God and bi-vocational to serve as our next Senior Pastor. Founded on March 23, 1980 by the late Reverend Adolph Thomas, Living Water Baptist Church has served as a vibrant beacon of help and hope to many locally, nationally, and globally. With a membership of 500 members, Living Water is an intergenerational, biblically sound, spirit-filled, mission-oriented congregation that strives to live up to its mission and vision, but we are fully aware that we need a servant leader to continue the work of ministry.
Living Water Baptist Church is seeking a Pastor who is:

Able to equip and empower others through preaching, teaching, and ministering to the congregation and community.

Committed to family growth and development (including young adults, youth and senior ministries) and community outreach.

Able to create, develop, and build strong leaders, ministries, and leadership teams.

Able to serve as administrator of the pulpit and worship ministries of the church.

Committed to working closely with the Deacon’s Ministry, Trustee Ministry, and Joint Board in providing spiritual and financial leadership to the congregation.

Able to continue growing and exposing the church through social media and other technological areas.

Committed to providing educational and growth experiences in faith and leadership training for the congregation.

Able to offer pastoral care to the membership that will include visitation of the sick and shut-in, hospital visits, comfort and assistance for the bereaved, and counseling for members and the unchurched.

Capable of ensuring that the observance of the ordinances of Baptism and the Institution of Holy Communion and for other sacerdotal rites, such as funerals, holy matrimony, and infant dedication are conducted.
Minimum Requirements:

Education & Experience
-
Licensed and ordained Baptist Minister
-
3+ years of Pastoral Leadership experience in a medium-large congregational setting. (Senior Pastor, Associate/ Executive Pastor, Youth & Young Adult Pastor.)

Bachelor’s degree required. If the candidates have already obtained Master of Divinity Degree from an accredited Theological College or Seminary or is currently working towards the completion of that, we will receive that as well.
